Birding with Branwen
Use the form on the right to enter your sightings details.
Please enter your name and email address in case we need to contact you.
In the Birding location field enter the name of the place where you went birding on this occasion, eg "Dinefwr", or "RSPB Ynys Hir", or "Newcastle Emlyn castle grounds". If you're submitting a single sighting (such as a bird you saw while on a journey, enter the nearest location you can describe, eg "A40 just north of Haverfordwest".
Type a date in the Birding date field using the format shown (DD-MM-YYYY, eg 17-07-2026), or click the little icon at the right of the field to open a calendar to choose the date.
To use the Species list, start typing the name of a bird (English or Welsh) into the field and select the bird you want to enter when it appears. You can enter multiple birds using the same field, each one adds to your list and you can continue typing to search for the next bird. If you can't find a bird in the list, you can type it manually into the Species not listed field.
Please note:
-
Only sightings made in Dyfed (Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire) during 2026 should be submitted.
-
Sightings can be birds you've seen or heard (or both!)
-
While this project is not scientific as such, please be as accurate as possible with your bird identification. "If in doubt, leave it out."
Remember to click Submit at the bottom when you've finished building you list. If you experience any problems, click here to send a message.
We will only use your email address to contact you if there's an issue with your sightings submission. Your details will not be used for any other purpose and will be deleted from our data at the end of 2026. By submitting your bird sightings you are consenting to them being included anonymously in the Birding with Branwen end-of-year total.
