GoldHill Studio
Branwen works from her own studio in a rural corner of deepest Carmarthenshire.
She uses the space to compose and produce her own material, develop collaborative work (such as the star*key project with Seah Maria), and create music and sound design for theatre and screen.
She also uses the studio to record, produce, mix and master music for other artists, offering a highly flexible range of services tailored to individual client needs. Her personal approach and high quality work ensure GoldHill guests always end up delighted!
Keith James
For nearly a decade, Branwen has worked closely with performer and song-writer, Keith James. As a music production team Branwen and Keith have evolved a brilliant collaborative workflow, with an intuitive creative language thanks to their 'similar but different' career paths. Here's a little information about Keith:
"Keith has dedicated his entire working life to Music, Songwriting, Poetry and Performing. A unique and somewhat solitary musician, who many years ago, chose not to take part in the ‘Pop’ music world, or to a large extent, the ‘Folk’ music world, trusting in himself to follow his own path as a genuine and individual performer and recording artist. To begin with he carved a unique niche playing in Wine Bars in the late ‘70s where he discovered the ability to draw an audience into the central purpose of a song. Since then he has developed and matured into one of Britain’s most trusted concert performers with a supportive audience who appreciate the depth of understanding that comes from a lifetime of dedication and study."
The videos here demonstrate Keith's and Branwen's teamwork in action. Though cover versions, the arrangements and production are very much representative of the sound of their collaboration. The videos were actually shot and edited by Branwen too, with some excellent direction from Keith himself.

Coco & Cwtsh
Over the last year, Branwen has been working in close collaboration with emerging studio, record label, creative space and venue Coco & Cwtsh based in south west Wales. She has been arranging, producing, mixing, and mastering songs released on the record label. While still working mainly at GoldHill Studio, Branwen has more recently engineered recording sessions in the Coco & Cwtsh venue space and recording booth.
Some incredibly exciting music has evolved from this collaboration, including those featured in the videos here, all of which were filmed at Coco & Cwtsh.
KAL*EYE*DOSCOPE
Branwen started her solo project KAL*EYE*DOSCOPE in 2014 as an alias for her to explore more experimental, ambient music, rich with textural synth timbres, arpeggiators, and samples from all manner of sources, often processed in colourful ways.
So far she has released three EPs under the KAL*EYE*DOSCOPE pseudonym, the latest being 'Astrospective' which came out in May 2023.

star*key
star*key is an downtempo electronica duo formed by Branwen and Seah-Maria in 2011 when they released their first two-track single, No Way Out. Since then they've release another two-tracker, scored music for a feature film, recorded a cover of a David Bowie song from the movie "Labyrinth", created a short film/music video called "Body Parts", and more recently released a four-track EP entitled "FOUR".
All of star*key's music is recorded at GoldHill Studio, with Branwen and Seah sharing writing, engineering, performing and producing duties between them - a true collaboration on every level!

During the first lockdown, star*key created a live performance video of their song "Air" from the "FOUR" EP, Branwen and Seah each filming their own performances in Carmarthenshire and Bristol respectively. Branwen edited the video in GoldHill Studio.
As part of their score for the GoldHill Productions feature film "Tunnel Vision", star*key released a video for the song "The One" which is featured during the closing credits of the film. The video features Esme, one of the actors from the film who plays the mystery ghost, Amber.
